Twin Cities Rosemalers

The art of Rosemaling will not be dying out anytime soon in the USA, Minnesota, or the City of Richfield and Minneapolis because about twenty or more students of the art meet weekly three sessions of the year through Richfield Community Education and create heirlooms for themselves and customers. When summer comes around, the group paints in Minnehaha Park on Wednesday mornings to enjoy painting, each other's company, and the wonderful outdoors!

These professional painters will sell their work at Buck Hill to promote this wonderful artform from Norway on June 18 and do demonstrations throughout the day. Cash or checks are preferred.

All Things Lefse

It started with my books. But as much as people wanted to read about lefse and lutefisk, they also have an abiding passion for making and eating it. So I teach lefse classes, make and sell lefse (only fresh), and I make and sell All Things Lefse. All Things Lefse is a group of all products related to making lefse. Heirloom lefse rolling pins, turning sticks, and lefse serving platters made by members of the Minnesota Woodturners Association. Beautiful vintage lefse mixing bowls created by potter Ryan Ball. Handmade and colorful lefse cozies and countertop protectors as well as Keep On Rolling aprons. Lefse hoodies, lefse earrings (yes, made of real lefse), lefse puzzles, and lutefisk lip balm. Big lefse rolling boards with the inventive blue board fitted cover, and two kinds of lefse grills. Add in lutefisk greeting cards, the musical score to an original lefse song, and compression socks for those all day lefse fests and you've got All Things Lefse.

Viking Age Horns

*waiting on confirmation for 2024

The Viking Age Club & Society of the Sons of Norway will be selling Viking Horns, so stop by to add one to your collection. Skol!

Viking drinking horns were a token given by the Valkyrie to welcome fallen warriors into Valhalla. This means that only the greatest, the bravest, the truest warriors who had fallen in valiant combat received a drinking horn to bring with them into Odin’s hall, where they would feast and fight, and die, and be resurrected to feast again every night, for all eternity. They have become a modern icon of a bygone era and no matter who you are or where you come from, the drinking horn is easily recognized as the symbol the Vikings and of their unique culture.

Hovden Wear

Clothing for today's lifestyle inspired by traditional work clothes, such as ‘The Hovden Shirt’ a 150 year old Scandinavian work shirt, the Busserull. This garment was commonly worn by workers and farmers and was called 'busserull' in Norwegian and 'arbestskjorta' in Swedish and Danish.

Handmade by craftsmen in Europe and the U.S., our high-quality garments use 100% natural fabrics and sustainable production methods, just like our ancestors did 150 years ago.

With the classic and durable design methods of our Scandinavian ancestors, we are determined to bring sustainable, ethical production methods alongside lasting investment pieces that have a versatile styling, comfortable fit and clean finish to the wardrobes of contemporary folks.

Fleming Peterson & Co.

Growing up in Denmark, I was surrounded by family members who were master craftsmen. The creative potential and natural beauty of wood motivated me to forge my own path in mastering the art of carpentry. In 1999, a unique opportunity came my way when the Danish furniture company I worked for had an opening in the United States. I moved to the Midwest and after meeting my wife in 2001, settled in Minnesota.  I made cutting boards and serving boards as gifts for my family and friends, eventually starting my own business in 2009.  All the wood used is purchased in Minnesota. I handcraft each item using combinations of Maple, Cherry, Walnut, Ash, Oak, Padauk and Purpleheart. Stop by to see the handcrafted solid wood cutting boards, serving boards, charcuterie boards, and lazy susans made from a variety of wood types. http://danishwoodwork.com
